Taking a road trip up the coast? On holiday? Or just looking for the right beach for you? Find your nearest beaches in seconds.

Brought to you by Surf Life Saving Australia, the Beachsafe app includes the location, weather, surf conditions and hazards plus the local facilities for all Australian beaches. Importantly, the current lifesaving service for each beach is listed to help you find the nearest patrolled beach. Beachsafe also provides expert advice about rip currents, flags and signs, waves, marine creatures, surf skills and more.

SLSA recommends swimming at patrolled beaches, between the red and yellow flags.

In the new version it doesn't seem to show whether the beach is closed unlike the old version, maybe it's somewhere not obvious but I can't find it.... Thanks for the change, it's clear now!

I only used this when I was on holiday but it helped immensely. I was able to tell if the swell was too big for me if it was sandy or windy. I could tell what beaches were patrolled which is really important. It helped me decide to go to the beach or not

Good information, but difficult to navigate when the menu buttons are stuck behind my phone navigation buttons (S25). Still some work to be done to improve the app!

Should've been a Beta — or Alpha. Obviously not tested properly on Android devices. The bottom Android UI (standard with Samsung Galaxy) blocks the bottom menu entirely. Yesterday there was crashing. They're clearly doing the most basic testing using the public. This isn't how you do app devellopment...
