this game reminds me of the gameplay of the MegaMan Battle Network/Star Force series and One Step From Eden. With rogue like elements, turn based action, a level up system, using cards, and moving in a 2D plane. This game doesn't "baby you" in tut nor will it force you to play but gives you a quick rundown on what you need to do before your first playthrough.

The game is fun but 'grindy' from the get go. It's very punishing when the opponents spawn next to you and are immediately preparing an attack, and you aren't even facing them yet. The enemy's HP scales much quicker than your damage/atk, so you need more than 1 turn to finish them off. If all these things line up, you are left to take multiple hits, which can end the run quick. Also, add the time left and the progress % to the skill selection screen. For a paid game, progression feels F2P-slow.

I want to like this game but the pacing is awful. Like others have said it feels as though the game is balanced to be paid to win via microtransactions despite the fact that you buy it upfront. I wouldn't recommend buying it. The only saving grace of this game is it's beautiful art style and potential to be rebalanced in the future.
