devs are NOT greedy. u play the beginning portion, than u got to buy the game. u dont have to buy. there are no microtransactions. nothing is behind a paywall other than the game itself. unlike other pay to win games, empire of Angels is how games should be sold on the market.

This is a decent buy-to-own strategy-rpg game: no ads (once you pay the one time full-game unlock), no gacha, no login bonuses, etc. It's very appreciated! This is a pretty simple SRPG (roughly Shining Force-level), but with a lot of content and a lengthy story. There is a large amount of maps with a variety of objectives, alongside with challenging optional objectives to complete. The character art is beautiful, there's a large cast that actually stays involved in the main storyline and there is full voice-acting (although in Chinese). On the negative side, the English translation is so-so (it's completely readable, but it reads clumsily and the jokes fall flat). Battle animations and mount design are also very silly, to its detriment in my opinion and is at odds with the somewhat serious story. Finally, late-game super attack animations are lengthy and unskipable, which slows down what used to be speedy battles. Overall, I'd say it's not an exceptional SRPG, but it's enjoyable and worth both the price and my time playing it. Especially worthwhile for people who wants to purchase full games on Android instead of the usual "milk the customers" approach!

Has been playing it on Steam and EOA3 years ago. I have lots of precious memories with this franchise. But on mobile is another experience. Should have been marketed as free demo only because you must buy to unlock the whole thing.

The English localization is just bad..... The horrible translation ruined the playing experience. Ive been a fan of Softstar games since 20 years ago, and I was excited to see all the classic titles being introduced to western audiences. It hurts to see LOTS of room for improvement in terms of translation because let's face it, if the writing is bad players won't enjoy reading it.

They don't tell you that this is really a demo until you have spent some time on it. Too bad, i was really looking forwad to this game. They should have specified it first.
