A great game. The graphics looks good and the gameplay is wonderful. However, the controls could be better. I sometimes ignite the candle when I want to jump. I think it would be nice if the developer provided the option to chnage the behavior of the controls like clicking is jumping while swiping ignites the candle 🕯️❤️
I'm really enjoying this game so far. It's a large size but worth the space and money. The touch screen controls are a bit frustrating, would love controller support, but it'll do. I've found myself accidentally lighting the candle when trying to jump, causing myself to lose some wax, maybe a little longer of a delay on the lighting could fix it, but maybe it's just me. Also one big thing is (idk if it's meant to be like this but) the game gets very dark sometimes. Such as chapter 1 level 4 the part with the river of boxes was almost pitch black the whole time, my screen brightness was all the way up. I kept having to burn through wax so I wouldn't get hit by something and fall off. If it's meant to be like that, then rad. But if it's not I'm just letting the devs know. I usually don't do long reviews (or reviews in general) but this game really deserves it. It has a few kinks to work out but what newly launched game doesn't? Well worth the money and file size, highly recommend.
This game has loads of potential. The graphics are beautiful, the story is well written and emotional, and the gameplay is creative. Unfortunately, the controls are awful. The virtual joystick is too sensitive - my little candle runs around like he's drunk. A game like this, where precision movements are required, really needs controller support. Without it, the game is too frustrating due to needless deaths caused by poorly designed controls. Uninstalling for now, but would love to check the game out again if controller support is added.
I have tried playing this game a number of times But the controls are total garbage !! Nothing worse than lazy programming. Is it really. That hard to program controller support.
I wanted to play this game, but I couldn't get past the main menu on my Shield TV.
