With the Ventra app, you can:

• Instantly load value or passes to your Ventra Card's transit account.
• Switch autoload for transit value or passes on and off.

It only shows the cancelled card, since that one displays first. It won't let me swipe to the card that's still active. (It would also be nice to be able to remove closed cards from the display). Help!!

2019: Usually works alright and convenient to find your train/bus but sometimes this app just glitches for days. Blank pages, charging twice and not actually getting a ticket, saying my information cannot be validated when I'm already logged in, randomly logging me out.. It goes on. Update 2025: I only buy my ticket at the machines now, still can't use the app as it stopped accepting my debit card. Debit card company said it's a Ventra issue, Ventra says it's my card company. 🤷🏼‍♀️

When it works. It works great. But they seem to do updates over night and it crashes frequently for the morning commute. So like morons we keep trying to make it work. Nobody says anything. Nobody cares. We are just left to wait until it starts working again. And why should they care? They are the chosen app. They have no competition. No alternative. Cash transactions are all but gone. Number of QoL improvements, but now the app is SO slow. Im not sure if it is running twice as many server checks, account validation, or just coded by vibes, what used to be a 15 second boot / check schedule or load ticket is now a 1:30 to sometimes 5 min for it to refresh. Still an awful interface, I don't need another google maps. Just show me the schedules - like other reviews said, get back to basics like before! Buy tickets, see schedule, track El arrivals and betray delays.
