Dua e Saifi is powerful dua consisting of collection of other suplications. Hazrat Jibrail (a.s) teaching this dua to prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and Muhammad (s.a.w) teaches Dua e Saifi to Hazrat Ali (r.a). Dua e Saifi is also called Hizre Yamani or Hizrul sahaba. Dua e Saifi is called hizre yamani because it refers to an historic story related to Dua e Saifi Explained below.
Dua-e-Saifi is a collection of those prayers, which can be the best, and the most acceptable prayers in the Court of Allah Almighty. This prayer was taught by Hazrat Jibraaeel (Gabriel) Alaihis-Salaam to Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam with the order of Allah Almighty and it was taught by Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam to Hazrat Ali Karram Allah Wajhu. Other names of this prayer are: Harz e Yamaani and Harz-as-Sahaabah. Harz e Yamaani is called due to this that a king of Yemen who had been driven out of his kingdom and his kingdom was occupied by enemies, he did hard to regain his throne and land but was unsuccessful every time. After becoming disappointed and hopeless from all ends, this deposed and defeated king appeared in the Court of Hazrat Ali Karram Allah Wajhu and begged for Inwardly and Invisible help. He took pity on his condition, wrote the Dua-e-Saifi, and gave it to him to read as if Allah wills he will soon regain his power and domain with the Auspiciousness (and blessing) of the prayer. Hence, that king started reading it and due to its blessing, his lost throne of Yemen was soon got by him back and he also got great progress and development. Hence, this prayer became famous in the name: remembered Harz e Yamaani. Afterwards, it became well-known the Holy Companions Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anhum, the Companions of the Holy Companions Radhi-ya-Allahu Ta-aala Anhum and then their Companions and rather the whole Islamic World and people continued it and met success in their ventures and desired objectives.
