This is a gorgeous app that not only identifies flowers, but also trees, vines, shrubs, aquatic plants, lichen and mosses. I have been able to identify photos I've taken and couldn't identify elsewhere. It is also sheer pleasure just browsing through the beautiful photos. I have also seen some of the flowers in Alabama and Florida, I think it would be a good resource for the entire Southeast. I am stunned that this app has not been downloaded thousands of times. It is a priceless resource.

Not bad, but....I really wish they'd tell us how to distinguish between similar species! For just about any genus there are multiple species, most very similar. Often this app gives pages of information irrelevant to ID. "OK, yes, this liatris has linear leaves, they all do, yes it has a plume of purple flowers, they all do." How do I tell apart the dozen species found in my state? No info on that. Consider a "similar species" section that lists distinguishing features.
