This is almost perfect. The UI is great, easy to use and minimalistic. unlike others there are no translation errors, the translation is perfect. And there are no ads. But it still can be improved in my opinion. The animations are a bit slow and some new game modes can be added, specialy time based ones like blitz and bullet. Also some game modes from normal chess would work great with xiangqi in my opinion, for example: atomic, Crazyhouse, giveaway. And most importantly, a local game mode.

I think this is really excellent, particularly the postgame analysis. But I wish there was an option to take back a move if it is a blunder when playing against the AI. I also wish there was an opening options chart with the names attached (There is very little in the English language on the openings).

Edited 10/9/24: I'm afraid I need to downgrade my rating a bit. While the app has been updated and looks nice, it isn't very stable for correspondence games. The app repatedly deletes games i n progress for no obvious reason, and I have problems starting new correspondence games because the invitations keep disappearing. Also, while they're not overly intrusive, the app has ads now.

I loved this app for how clean the interface was, but the new 3d piece art is so visually jarring that I find that I can't handle looking at it now. The 3d aspect of the new pieces clashes so horribly with the 2d board and makes it hard to think about anything other than how unnatural looking it is. I'm sad there's no way for users to switch between the styles and go back to having everything in 2d.

Stop wasting your time on this useless app. Any xiang qi app would perform much better than this one. It has a lot of bug since long time ago and they haven't got it fixed. Such like the system would treat you as a loser randomly even you are winning! sometimes your turn time is reducing even its not your turn! And once openent has made a move and you probably have 2 seconds left for your turn and system would treated you as a loser once your time is up!!!! For me this is such a joke!!!!
