Cardiac Axis Calculator, interactive practice and ECG test.
"Cardiac Axis" application is a comprehensive tool for calculating and training cardiac axis analysis in an ECG. It includes an accurate calculator, an interactive simulator to visualize how the ECG curves vary with each angle, and a test to evaluate your skills in determining the cardiac axis.
The Cardiac Axis Calculator allows you to determine the electrical axis of the heart using the net amplitudes of the QRS complexes in leads D1 and D3. These leads have been selected instead of the commonly used D1 and aVF, since recent studies have shown that calculations with D1 and D3 offer greater precision in the results.
In the practice section you will be able to move the axis hand and observe how the QRS complex changes in each of the ECG leads.
Finally, the application includes an interactive test of 25 questions to test your knowledge about the interpretation of cardiac axes. In each question, a different electrocardiogram (ECG) will be presented, and you will have to analyze the tracing to select the type of cardiac axis that best corresponds to the image.
