Supplication is one of the noblest acts of worship and the most honorable of acts of obedience, and the servant cannot do without it in any case, and it is a link between the servant and his Lord, and the more he hopes for God and the more he thinks about Him, the more his supplications increase.
And it is evidence of the perfection of the servant’s lack of his Lord and his self-sufficiency in Him, and that is why the Shari’a commanded it. The Almighty said, “And your Lord said, He will respond to you.” And the Most High said, “I pray to your Lord in humility and concealment.” And He said, “And if my servants ask you about me, I am close. Peace be upon him, “Prayer is worship.”


The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was persistent in supplication. Anas said, “The most frequent supplication of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was: ‘Oh God, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.” Agreed upon.
The predecessors, may God be pleased with them, were keen to supplicate in all their affairs, for they used to ask God about everything, even fodder for their animals and salt in food.
Many people do not supplicate to God except during adversity and crises, and this is a wrong course. It is legitimate for the believer to supplicate to God in prosperity and adversity, and if he is constantly in contact with God, his supplication will be answered during adversity. The Messenger of God said, “Know to God in prosperity, he knows you in adversity.” God is for him in adversity, so let him pray a lot in prosperity
