Zerobooks-pro v0.1.2
GOLDENAGATOAbout this app
Zerobooks-pro solves the problem of accessing a wide range of light novels in one convenient app, benefiting fans of the genre who want an easy-to-use and ad-free experience. Compared to other apps in the Books And Reference category, Zerobooks-pro stands out with its minimalistic approach and lack of permissions, making it a great choice for those concerned about privacy. However, its relatively small user base and limited version history may raise concerns about long-term support and updates. The app's paid model, at $11.99, may also be a barrier for some potential users.
Pros
- With a user rating of 4.1 out of 5, Zerobooks-pro has demonstrated a high level of quality and user satisfaction, indicating a well-designed and functional app.
- The absence of ads and in-app purchases provides an uninterrupted reading experience, which is a significant advantage for users who value simplicity and are willing to pay for it.
- The developer's decision to request zero permissions is a notable pro, as it ensures that users' data and device security are not compromised for the app's functionality.
- The app's offline capability, implied by its design as a light novel reader, allows users to access their content anywhere, making it a great choice for commuters or those with limited internet access.
- The developer's website and email provide a clear channel for feedback and support, which is essential for building trust with the user community.
Cons
- The limited number of downloads, at 1,000+, may indicate a smaller user base, which could affect the app's long-term viability and the developer's ability to provide updates and support.
- The paid model, while ad-free, may deter some potential users who are accustomed to free or freemium models, potentially limiting the app's reach and growth.
- The lack of information about the app's content catalog and update frequency may make it difficult for potential users to determine if the app meets their needs and if new content will be regularly added.
- The app's requirement for Android 10 may exclude users with older devices, limiting its accessibility to a broader audience.
Best for: The ideal user for Zerobooks-pro is a light novel enthusiast, likely between the ages of 15 and 35, who values a clean, ad-free reading experience, is willing to pay for quality content, and has a device running Android 10 or later, with a medium to high level of technical skill to navigate the app's features and customize their experience.

What's not to love? This app gives you access to literally thousands of books. It's my I'm not going to be bored now app. I beyond love this, and I don't even mind if I get a new device if I have to pay them again. It's a one-time payment. Super convenient, super easy. And I'm not downloading from Sus sites. I also love that there's some older series that can be kind of hard to find here. Perfection. The one teeny weenie feature I want is the ability to zoom in. Please? 🥺
Honestly worth $10, so its priced accordingly. Sketch as hell and it may just be better to download your novels from their client website 'jnovels' and organize them with a pdf viewer, save yourself the 10 bucks I guess.
Has been working great for mostly 1 year. The developer fast to respond when you send him an email. Only problem I have is a recent update (when added more wn choices) the app no longer works on my ZenPad would really appreciate a fix. It instantly crashes the app when I try to read anything. This is loads better than any reader I have seen, and I really want to use it. :-(
The app is great. Has something for everyone. The only draw back is that it doesn't come with a read aloud function. I have downloaded other free reader apps and its always come standard. If you guys add that I'll update review
Forced me to buy it twice. I sincerely like the app, but last year i bought it around december or a little earlier. The app was removed from the playstore and once it was posted again, for months the tech support refused to help me on the discord server. One person pushed the issue to someone else untill it went full circle to the first person that "offered help". Sincerely a shame that this app is good but being managed by a group that doesnt care about the readers.
