Developer Description
Automated measurement of caster and KPI on vehicles
The operation of the app and the adjustment work on the vehicle require vehicle and chassis knowledge as well as a corresponding qualification.
The user must have specialist knowledge (wheel alignment and vehicle technology)!
AchsBoxCaster uses the smartphone's gyroscope and acceleration sensors to calculate caster and SAI.
In order to be able to use the complete range of functions (*) of the app, your device should have a gyroscope sensor.
The device is fixed on top of the tire tread or on the outside of the rim. The instructions are issued via TTS voice output and as on-screen text.
Simple sliding plates (e.g. 4 pieces ABS plastic plates) or turntables are recommended to enable tension-free steering.

The app provides the following measurement results/functions:
- Caster in degrees
- KPI in degrees
- wheel angle in degrees (*)
- Record and share measurement results
- Recognizing the current measurement position (*)
- TTS voice output of instructions and measurement results
- Loop function (*): automatically starts the next measurement on the same wheel in order to carry out several measurements in a row (for averaging and troubleshooting)
