A murder mystery dinner is played in a group, usually at the home of one of the players. Each player takes on the role of a character, and together you solve a crime. Typically, one of you is the murderer. The app offers murder mystery dinners for 3-10 people in various genres, including historical mysteries, fantasy, and science fiction.
To play a murder mystery with the app, each player needs a smartphone or tablet with the app installed. First, each player chooses a character and reads their background information.
The game takes place on the following pages. Here, you can investigate the murder and make decisions together. You'll receive additional secret information about your character throughout, but there are no prescribed dialogues. Each player decides what their character reveals and how they try to talk their way out of it. On the very first page, each player learns their alibi, revealing whether their character is the culprit. At the end, you must decide together who you believe to be the murderer.
