City Land on foot - "Stay healthy on two legs"
Under this heading we, the running experts from Leer, are starting a Germany-wide health campaign. The districts and urban districts compete against each other in collecting kilometers on foot.
The trimming trot campaign “Run without panting”, which the German Sports Association launched so successfully in 1975, described the same goal that we had set ourselves: improving health and fitness.
It's not about times. The aim is to motivate as many people as possible to go outside at a time of the year (November) when many have motivation problems, knowing that many others are doing it too and it is good for me.
Exercise in the fresh air in autumn and winter is more important for our immune system and our health than in the warmer seasons. Going out in cold, wet, windy and dark counts twice! And it's also good for the soul.
