ABOUT MCKINNEY-VENTO
The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act ensures that children and youth experiencing homelessness have equal access to free, appropriate public education. This includes the right to:

Remain in their school of origin
Receive transportation to and from school
Enroll immediately, even without typical documentation
Access support services and resources

Nevada COMPASS supports these rights by connecting families with the resources and assistance they need to maintain educational continuity and stability.

FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS
If your organization offers services for students and families experiencing housing insecurity, you can add your program to Nevada COMPASS. Visit the app's information section or contact your local school liaison to submit your listing.
