The island of Ios is closely connected with my childhood. Being descended from it (on my mother's side), I've been visiting every summer for as long as I can remember. My grandparents and the rest of my relatives live on the island and are engaged in various tourist professions. My love for them and especially for my grandmother, who passed away a few years ago, was the siren that drew me to the island every summer, regardless of obligations my. My grandmother's place was taken by my wife, whom I met on one of my trips to the island and since then I still visit even more regularly.
