In a world of incomprehensible labels, Yuka provides clarity in one quick scan so you can make clear-sighted purchases.
Yuka uses a simple color code to inform you of the product's impact on your health: excellent, good, mediocre, or poor. You can access a detailed info page for each product, to help you understand its grade.

Every product is evaluated according to 3 objective criteria: nutritional value, additives, and the organic dimension of the product.

The scoring method relies on analyzing all of the product's ingredients. Every ingredient is assigned a level of risk, based on current scientific research.
◆ BEST PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS ◆
For any product with a negative grade, Yuka will recommend in total independence a similar product that's better for your health as an alternative.

Incredibly useful app for finding less harmful foods. I genuinely use this and have replaced products such as oat milk with ones with less additives, and removed certain foods altogether. My overall health is better, my skin and my gut as I have cut out alot of high risk additives I was unaware of. This app together with healthy eating, and calorie tracking is the best way of keeping the mind and body fit and strong for me.

love it, a great start for those wanting to learn about the ingredients companies put in our food. The app is great but I wish it had a unit of measure beside the ingredients as well. To add the feature of using a search bar, the annual $1/year is worth it. Overall its a great app it just needs to broaden the types of products.

noticed the app does NOT expound on bioengineered food ingredients- why not? i would think that would be 1 of the 1st things to brng an item's rating down!!

I liked it until I scanned 2 different jars of natural peanut butter and it said one was bad , the other is good. they both contained the same ingredients, peanuts and salt.

installed and then immediately uninstalled because you are required to create an account to access the information. sorry, hard pass.
