overview

This is an app that allows you to view images of the Hokkaido Shimbun morning edition and regional morning editions from around the world on your smartphone. You can view the past 7 days including the current day.


The app is free, but you must apply for the "Hokkaido Shimbun Digital/Paper Course, Viewer Course". For more information, please see Subscription information.


・We update the page image for the day around 4 a.m. every morning.
・A push notification of updates will be sent around 7:00 am.
・You can view the past 7 days including the current day.
- Small text can be enlarged and displayed.
-Paper data can be saved and viewed even in environments where there is no network connection.
- You can save your favorite articles using the clip function (up to 100 articles).


-Tap the icon to start the app.
- After starting the app, select the date and region (Morning Edition, Central Hokkaido, Southern Hokkaido, Northern Hokkaido, Eastern Hokkaido, Separate Printing) and tap to display the page image.
- The paper image screen will be enlarged in 4 steps each time you double tap it, and from the 4th step onwards, if you double tap again, it will return to full screen display. You can also zoom in and out by pinching.
-Tap the screen and press the "<" and ">" buttons that appear at the bottom to move forward or backward through the pages. You can also do this by flicking the page (with your finger).
-Press the button at the bottom right of the screen to display a list of papers. You can switch to another paper image from this screen.
- If you select "Save" from the electronic newspaper list screen, you can download page images by date and region (morning edition, central Hokkaido, southern Hokkaido, northern Hokkaido, eastern Hokkaido, and reprint). Up to 7 files can be saved and can be viewed even in an environment where there is no network connection.


・Some articles, photos, and advertisements will not be published.
- Newspapers are not updated on holidays.

*Browsing requires communication, so we recommend using it in a WiFi environment.
*Clipped articles may be deleted if you reinstall the app. Please note.
