I think that the key is to have your passport pictures already taken on your phone, and shrunken down using a image compressor. Don't use the app camera function to take the picture. I was able to download the app, register my three family members for our trip and have approval within an hour.
It's sometimes a bit buggy, but it worked well, me and my bf got approved Pls check all your information closely after scanning your passport. There might be a wrong letter/number...
Much better experience than other reviews. Finished after 3 trials. Still big problem with searching postal code and address. Resetting the app after uploading the portrait picture is very upsetting. No problem with keyboard. Updated app. Never sign up after all effort of filling out stuff and scanning the passport. Not able to apply. dDeleted the app and will try again.
Definitely not user friendly. In android version, it requires me to allow app to have an overlay or it won't continue (just as other Android users mentioned before). This is totally ridiculous. So I decided to do the "old fashion" way which is to apply via computer. I just had to compressed the passport picture using Adobe (free), and Biteable (free) to resize the self portrait photo to 700x700 px. Payment went through easy. I got approved!
