"Beigang Welcomes Mazu" This event is a major event in Beigang Chaotian Temple's annual temple fair tour. Beigang Mazu's circuit tour was approved by the Ministry of Culture of the Executive Yuan on June 18, 1999 in accordance with Article 1 of the Cultural Assets Preservation Act. Article 59 designates "Beigang Chaotian Temple to welcome Mazu" as an important folk custom in China.
During the event, many mikoshi and array heads from Chaotian Palace in Beigang will go around Guben Port to pray for good weather, peace and prosperity. Because the event is grand, the APP will provide the tour route for the day, as well as the latest locations of Mazu and array heads. This is for believers to know the location of Mazu as quickly as possible.

At the same time, the "Beigang Journey to Hong Kong" has also been registered as an important folk cultural asset of our country.
Beigang Chaotian Temple is an iconic pilgrimage destination for Mazu belief in Taiwan. According to statistics, more than 3,000 pilgrimage groups visit every year, and the number of pilgrims reaches millions.

"Beigang pilgrimage" has become a part of the religious life of many Taiwanese Mazu believers, and can be regarded as an important symbol of the localization of Taiwanese Mazu.
The ceremony of offering incense in Beigang is rich and unique. The main process of offering incense is to respectfully invite the deity to enter the temple, tie the red silk ribbon, worship together, cut the fire, and return home.
Beigang Chaotian Temple also respects the customs and ritual practices of offering incense in various temples and temples, including cutting fire, offering incense, inviting water, recruiting troops and inviting fire, etc.
