On March 19th 1982 in Genk, RADIO INTERNATIONAL was officially born

INTERNATIONAL RADIO was born as an information and entertainment organ of the Italians of Limburg

The history of Radio Internazionale began back in 1982, a decidedly glorious period for the local radio station.
To give life to the project was above all Dario Vanoli, and many volunteers united by the love for music and the desire to make entertainment and information over the air.

The enthusiasm turned into popularity, excellent ratings and always hot telephone lines.

Programming: games, live broadcasts, lots of local and national information, music for all tastes and niche programs (dedicated to genres like country and international music) found their proper space on our frequencies, in those years the 102.8 Mhz
Today
Many years have passed, and many voices have followed our microphones.

Our story is a bit like the music of the last thirty years and more.
After all this time we were saying here we are still here, slightly repositioned of frequency and always with a great desire to make radio and keep you company.

The premises have also been renewed and expanded: our studio has been given ample space for directing and broadcasting, editing and record archives; the old record players have given way to compact discs and sophisticated electronic instruments.

We have further improved the quality of our signal and stereo hi-fi modulation, which improves sound quality and makes it warm and enveloping.

Our antenna, located in Waterschei, radiates the signal for the entire area of ​​Genk and its surroundings.
Our radio is more and more like you want it.
