Absolutely loving this app! Premium was worth the price. I find gamifying workouts to be very motivating. I really like the art and the different levels of challengers. One request: would love to see more maps added in the future (e.g., Earthsea, Westeros, Wizard of Oz, or even The Hobbit, to stay with LOTR).
There's a maximum distance you can walk in the app per day, in other words, it only counts up to a certain number of km or miles in a day. Unless, of course, you pay, and in my opinion it's not cheap for that basic feature. I did end up buying it and have been happy with this app, although I'd still hope it was a bit cheaper but it's a one time deal so it balances out.
this is a fun way to track daily movement without a fitness band, but I do have some suggestions for improvement. 1: define the terms somewhere. what does it mean by elevenses? what does it mean when you see negative progress? 2: allow access to all time tracking data, not just Sunday to Saturday off the current week. I'd really love to be able to see patterns or even unusually high/low activity days vs current week data. 3: make progress data more accessible. 4: make the map zoomable
This seemed like a fun app, but the daily walking limit is too low to be useful. It only allows you to walk like one mile a day. I walk in the evenings, and that is about halfway around my block. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone because it doesn't really challenge a person to do more. I gave it two stars for creativity.
The apps a fun idea, but a yearly subscription is preposterous for something that in reality offers so little, especially when they're just stealing IP. Undoubtedly, it would be more successful just running the current unlimited steps model as the only payment method (though even that is overpriced) and having it unlock everything, but greed prevails. Immediate uninstall.
