About this app

For healthcare providers managing patients who may have a diagnosis of NF or SWN

The Children’s Tumor Foundation NF + SWN Diagnosis App is designed to support healthcare providers as a useful tool for diagnosing patients who may have neurofibromatosis (NF) or schwannomatosis or a related disorder. With a special focus on the 2021 and 2022 updates to the diagnostic criteria, the app compiles the most relevant, evidence-based clinical guidelines from multiple sources into a single tool and places them at the clinician’s finger tips.

This free app was created by the Children’s Tumor Foundation as a tool for medical professionals, clinicians, genetic counselors, medical students, and general practitioners.

About Children’s Tumor Foundation:
Founded in 1978, the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF) began as the first grassroots organization solely dedicated to finding treatments for NF. Today, CTF is a highly recognized global nonprofit foundation, the leading force in the fight to end NF, and a model for other innovative research endeavors.

Our Mission: Drive research, expand knowledge, and advance care for the NF community.
Our Vision: End NF.

Only a medical professional can confirm a diagnosis of NF1, Legius Syndrome, or any type of schwannomatosis (including NF2-related schwannomatosis, formerly called NF2). This mobile app is a tool and not a replacement for diagnostic assessment and medical management from a healthcare provider.
