How We Feel v0.0.383
The How We Feel Project, Inc.About this app
The How We Feel app solves the problem of emotional wellbeing tracking by providing a dedicated space for users to journal their feelings, making it an excellent tool for individuals seeking to monitor and manage their mental health. This app benefits those who value self-reflection and are proactive about their emotional wellbeing, particularly in the Health And Fitness category where mindfulness and self-care are increasingly prioritized. Compared to alternatives, How We Feel stands out due to its simplicity and focus on emotional tracking, lacking the clutter often found in more comprehensive health apps. Its high user rating and moderate download numbers indicate a well-received and potentially effective tool for emotional wellbeing management.
Pros
- With over 500,000 downloads and a 4.5-star rating, How We Feel demonstrates strong social proof and user satisfaction, indicating a well-designed and useful application.
- The app's lack of permissions requests is a significant advantage, ensuring user privacy and security are maintained without unnecessary data collection.
- The absence of ads and in-app purchases means users can focus on their emotional wellbeing without monetization-driven distractions, enhancing the overall user experience.
- The developer's commitment to regular updates, as indicated by the version number, suggests ongoing support and improvement of the app, which is crucial for maintaining user engagement and trust.
- The simplicity and dedicated purpose of the app make it accessible to a wide range of users, including those who might feel overwhelmed by more complex health and fitness applications.
Cons
- One concern is the potential lack of features that might be expected in a more comprehensive health and fitness app, which could limit the app's appeal for users seeking a broader range of functionalities.
- Although the app has a high rating, some users might find the interface or features too simplistic, potentially leading to disengagement over time if not regularly updated with new functionalities.
- The app's effectiveness heavily relies on user consistency and honesty in logging their emotions, which can be a challenge for some individuals, potentially limiting the app's overall impact on their emotional wellbeing.
- There might be a lack of professional or guided content within the app to help users interpret their emotional trends or provide strategies for improvement, which could be a missed opportunity for deeper user support.
Best for: The ideal user for the How We Feel app is an individual, likely between the ages of 18 and 50, who values mental health and is proactive about tracking and managing their emotional wellbeing, possessing a moderate level of technical skill to navigate the app's interface effectively, and seeking a simple, non-intrusive tool to support their self-reflection and personal growth.

I had a hard time transferring my data over from a previous phone but was able to get everything moved over. 10/10 app would reccomend to anyone who is looking to keep track of their emotions. The app also includes breathing exercises which is really cool!
Hey, my old phone has been stolen and I have lost access to all my HWF entries. I use your app since many years and I tried to make sure that I can log in again if something happens but I didn't understood if I even had an account in the first place. Could download a file but I made a lot of photos as well. Is there a way that I can reaccess my old entries? It's like my personal diary and it hurts that I can't access it anymore. I also tried to print out everything but the feature didn't work.
More features on iPhone version. We started using this on the iPhone but made the switch to android. Very displeased to learn that we lost many features within the app. The android version does not help guide the journal entries and the body map for sensations input is not available on the android version. Why are you giving iPhone users better apps with more features?
The old version was way better. The new interface is confusing visually, ugly, and doesn't define the emotions anymore!!!
it should have the same features it has on iPhone then on android. because it would be helpful to be able to add emotions when they dobt have them. iPhone let's you do that but android doesn't. same with the body scan. that should be on both iPhone and android and we should be able to share that to the friends/loved ones we have on this app.
