The TeleMedKG-MCH telemedicine application is aimed at improving the quality of medical services provided to pregnant women in regional and district maternity hospitals through telemedicine consultations by obstetric and narrow specialists from head medical institutions to the family doctors of primary health institutes. This helps to provide timely telemedicine and tele-expertise assistance to the family doctors for managing the pregnant women with certain health conditions and prevent risks to their health. The app allows health care providers (family doctors) to collect detailed complaints, symptoms, details of previous pregnancies, medical conditions, pregnancy risk factors, and treatments of pregnant women and generate a complete medical history for sharing this clinical summary with the remote specialist doctors. This information is securely uploaded and shared with the clinical specialists for remote telemedicine consultation. The app also allows the clinical specialists to contact the family or primary healthcare physicians over telemedicine for any additional information needed for treatment.
