Dutch Public safety Warning
1. People who are often close to the border
Their mobile phone may sometimes be connected to a German or Belgian cell tower. Those transmission towers do not send out an NL-Alert. With the NL-Alert app you will still receive the NL-Alert via your mobile internet connection. To receive messages data roaming must be available and allowed.
2. People who are hearing impaired or deaf
It can be difficult for them to notice that an NL Alert has been sent. The app offers special accessibility features to help them with this.
3. People who are visually impaired or blind
An NL-Alert is sometimes unclear to them. The app offers special accessibility features that make NL-Alert clearer.

Top dat je hier het geluid wel van uit kan zetten. Heb NL-Alert zelf volledig uitgezet en vervolgens deze app geïnstalleerd. Het is tot nu toe in elk geval dat ik een NL-Alert heb ontvangen mijn inziens volstrekt onnodig om deze met de hoogste prioriteit te versturen en keihard geluid alsof er een nucleaire dreiging is. Ben blij dat er nu deze tussenoplossing is, die ik zelf veel gepaster vind.

To me it seems like the app is decent. I don't exactly know why people complain about the language. It is programmed to be in the language that your device is using. If you are using english on your device, why would you want the specific app to be dutch? I think this app got too many bad reviews for this reason, which I don't think it's fair when it actually works fine and does exactly what it needs to do.

Weer een app die geen taalinstelling heeft en zomaar Engels kiest i.p.v. Nederlands.

Vereist Android 10 of hoger. Iets wat vreemd is voor een app voor noodzaken. Juist mijn Andoid 9 toestel kan geen NL Alert berichten ontvangen. Wat kunt u doen voor mensen met oudere Android versies?
