Poisoning? Know what to do and how to prevent it.
True: poisonous substances can be found in every household. And that is a serious danger, especially for young children. Things that seem harmless can also be very harmful. Detergent for example, but also paracetamol, toilet freshener or certain plants.
With the Gifwijzer you discover which toxic substances you have in your home. The app contains 149 substances and plants with an indication of toxicity and advice on what to do if things go wrong. The Poison Guide also provides advice on how to prevent accidents.
The app has been specially developed for parents with young children.
The content has been compiled by, among others, VeiligheidNL, toxicologist Dr. E.J.M Pennings, The Red Cross and The Orange Cross.

Superhandige app voor geval van nood. Duidelijk en overzichtelijk. Hopelijk zal ik hem nooit nodig hebben.

Toont per stof de giftigheid. Wat dat betreft dus prima. Je verwacht echter meer informatie, maar die is er niet. Wel richtlijn voor wat te doen, maar daarin zit geen verschil per stof. Deze app zou gratis moeten zijn. Je download eigenlijk gewoon een lijstje met stoffen waarbij staat hoe giftig het is. Dat ze hier een app voor hebben gemaakt is een beetje raar. Ze hadden ook gewoon een Google sheets of online Excel lijstje kunnen maken met een openbare link.

De app heeft helemaal niet aan wat je moet doen bij de inname van de giftige producten. Er staat bijvoorbeeld bij antivries dat je snel moet handelen maar niet wat het snelle handelen inhoud. En dan als het toch niet lukt moet je bellen met 112. Daar heb je in principe dus helemaal niks aan. Op de verpakking staat ook wel dat het heel giftig is.......
