Developer Description

An Orthodox Christian Psalter

The Church has been praying the Psalms, privately and corporately, since the very beginning. From the believers in Acts 4 praying Psalm 2, to early monastics reciting the entire Psalter every day, the Psalms infuse Orthodox worship through today.

"Pray the Psalter" offers three ways to include the Psalms in daily prayer:

- Pray the Psalms one-by-one
- Pray the Daily Hours (Psalms assigned to different parts of the day)
- Pray the designated 'kathismata' (or part of one) day-by-day

This psalter uses the text of the King James Version, edited to conform to the Septuagint.

- Move Bookmark out of menu onto action bar on screens that show individual Psalm
- Screens now remember where you were last scrolled to
- Moved "continue reading" and "read now" out of scroll area, pinned to top

This app does what it sets out to do very well. It's intuitive and the display follows your device theme automatically (dark mode, in my case). The kathismata for the day are automatically queued up.
