Don't know why this has such a low rating compared to other New Star games. It's the same deal - a cut down representation of the sport, designed to bring you the highlights of the game without aiming at a full simulation. It's good at that, so if you don't go in expecting a real time 5 day test, it's a good distraction like all New Star games.

It's a very good game but when you've had good form but you still don't get picked for the match but overall it's a good game and especially if you like sports.

Fun game but needs improvements. Maybe a Test Cricket mode, it wouldn't take much to implement and its absence is glaring. On top of this as others have said there are some glaringly frustrating things during the gameplay. The fact that you don't score a boundary because it is out of the camera screen is really annoying. The other majorly annoying part is the fielding concept, you aren't given any idea which way the ball is moving before you run and the game punishes you harshly.

Have downloaded and played NSC and New Star Soccer. Both have great potential and the concept is brilliant, however both have their fair share of problems. In this game you are rewarded no runs for a clear 4 or even 6 if the boundary isn't visible on screen, and the commentary remarks on how much of a wasted opportunity it is when you fail to run someone out because your character moves at a snails pace for the ball to throw it to the bowler at the stumps, making it impossible to get them out.

Don't understand a cricket game that if you hit it perfectly you get no runs because the boundary is not visible on screen. You have to try and hit it badly. Madness! Fielding near edge of screen impossible. Could be so good if someone who played cricket helped to develop it. Don't spend money. Games are rigged against you!
