Located in a strategic position, the center of the Central Highlands - South Central Coast region, Gia Lai possesses a comprehensive development space. Developing processing and manufacturing industry: Turning this industry into a pillar of the economy, based on advantages in labor, agriculture and exploitation of coastal economic zones. At the same time, focusing on developing renewable energy industry and green industry.

Tourism development: Turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector, based on the advantages of the sea, mountain and forest ecology, Central Highlands cultural heritage and Champa culture.

Developing high-tech agriculture and sustainable forestry: Effectively exploiting red basalt soil, forming specialized areas for key crops, building concentrated raw material area models and enhancing product value chains.

Developing port and logistics services: Forming logistics centers from Le Thanh border gate to Quy Nhon port, taking advantage of the connecting traffic infrastructure system.

Urban development: Building fast and sustainable urban areas, associated with the development of industrial, urban and tourism real estate markets.

Along with these pillars, Gia Lai focuses on implementing 3 breakthroughs:

Institutional breakthroughs: Building a streamlined and effective government apparatus, creating an open and transparent legal environment for investment and business activities.

Breakthrough in human resources: Develop high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of economic restructuring towards industry, high-tech agriculture and digital transformation.

Breakthrough in infrastructure: Prioritize investment in building transport infrastructure, irrigation, ports - logistics and digital infrastructure, especially routes connecting different terrains.
