Simple soroban (Japanese abacus, そろばん)

This application is a simple Japanese abacus (soroban / そろばん). It has a free mode where you can use the abacus freely, and a challenge mode with 4 operations (addition, subtraction, one and two digit multiplication, and division) and 3 difficulty levels (easy, medium, hard) where you must race against the clock to perform calculations.

Contains tutorials for:
* basic concepts
* addition
* subtraction
* one-digit multiplication
* two-digit multiplication
* division

Also has a custom challenge mode where you can set the number of questions, type of questions and difficulty.

(This is just a hobby project I'm doing for fun. This app is free and doesn't have in-app purchases or ads).

i have never reviewed a damn thing on this app store, but in the year of 2025, this app has no ads, no music, no purchases, and is entirely offline. i truly appreciate the integrity of the developer, and i went out of my way to leave a review, as there arent any pop-ups asking you to. the tutorials and challenges are simple, clear, really got me from zero to adding five digit numbers. i havent done this much math since high school, and im thoroughly enjoying it.

I love this app so much, I appreciate how it's free to use, and I enjoy studying on it. I do find that the sound effects for the correct answers are a bit too loud compared to the beads movement sounds, and as an auditory learner the sounds of the beads' movements help me focus while learning. It would be great if the app allowed the beads sounds and the feedback sounds to be adjusted separately, so I wouldn't have to put my sound settings all the way up just to hear the beads.
