About this app
Educational application to monitor students' progress in badminton.
BADaboum 2 is an educational application designed to support students' technical and tactical progress in badminton.
Structured around five targeted themes—continuity, serving, technical diversity, spatial exploitation, and strategy—it combines fun, autonomy, and assessment: students progress through rewards (medals), while teachers track individual performance using a statistical dashboard.
The application is highly customizable—thresholds, exercises, export—and promotes relevant differentiation and longitudinal monitoring within PE classes.
Learning situations are offered across five different themes:
- Best Friend (Rally Continuity): Develop consistency and mastery of rallies by working on continuity of play. Students learn to keep the shuttlecock in play longer, promoting endurance and precision.
- Service: Improve the precision and variety of serves (long, short, tight) to gain an advantage from the start of the rally. The emphasis is on technique, positioning, and consistency.
- Multi-Tool (acquiring different technical shots): Expand the student's technical range by introducing them to different shots (forehand, backhand, drop shot, smash, etc.). This strengthens versatility and adaptation to game situations.
- All-Court Champion (Exploiting the Court, Playing Zones): Develop the ability to exploit all areas of the court to create uncertainty for the opponent. Students learn to vary the depth and angles of their shots.
- Strategist (tactics and strategy): Refine decision-making and tactics by encouraging students to anticipate, observe, and choose the best option depending on the situation. This theme promotes game analysis and the implementation of winning strategies.
Each player progresses through the exercises and earns points, which unlock new exercises and earn medals in each theme.
The main screen allows you to see the players' progress at a glance.
A statistics screen details each player's results.
Precise monitoring and personalized differentiation:
Thanks to its statistical dashboard, BADaboum 2 allows teachers to view each student's results and progress at a glance, topic by topic. This detailed analysis highlights strengths and areas for improvement, providing the ability to adapt learning situations based on actual needs. Success thresholds and exercises can be adjusted for each group or student to maintain the motivation of beginners while stimulating more advanced students. This real-time differentiation makes sessions more effective and engaging, while promoting success for all.
The application is configurable to best suit each individual's needs, whether it be pedagogical requirements, operational constraints, or individual sensitivities.
From the "Settings" menu, it is possible to modify the point allocation threshold for each acquisition level, as well as the medal award threshold, for each file created.
It is possible to modify and add up to 3 learning situations per theme,
integrate exercises for a specific player file, or even create an online situation catalog that can be inserted for each group.
The application offers the option of running locally (data is saved on the device) or online.
An XLSX export (Excel file) is available so that players' results can be saved or shared outside of the application.
