Developer Description

A dungeon crawler with addictive puzzle mechanics.

Card Fall is a mix of puzzle game and roguelite. The player explores dungeons filled with monsters, traps, potions and treasures by making strategic decisions about moving and attacking different cards. The dungeons are randomly generated and constantly change thus always providing an interesting puzzle to solve.

The game field consists of dungeon cards that fall on a character, and of character cards that can be used to fight back. If the monster card falls on a character it deals damage but if the weapon card falls down it is added to a character deck. There are also a lot of other card types with unique properties and abilities.

The game lasts until the character dies but the ability to upgrade characters and cards makes each new run easier. There are a lot of unique dungeons, characters and cards to unlock and all the unlocks can be made with high scores.

Pretty much the perfect casual, on the spot game. You have to think to get far, but you don't have to think too far ahead; all your descisions are right in front of you. Makes it easier to both keep playing and stop when you want to. Completely non-predatory. Only the occasional ad that you can make go away forever with a small, one time purchase. Easy recommendation.

First off, I love the game!💜 Things I'd like to see fixed or changed: if you turn off the auto-turn feature and have played all of your hand, you can not blow up a remaining bomb on the field by only tapping on it. Second, there is no obvious option for deleting your saved data. I'd like to undo the gold and level progress so I may spend the gold earned on cards and heroes I prefer.

I enjoy the mechanics and the strategic decisions, but I find myself not wanting to play because it doesn't save where I left off, and if I have to put my phone down for a bit I risk losing my progress. The other thing that drives me crazy is when you drag a card, if you change your mind and try to drag it back to the center, sometimes it goes in a random direction and sometimes it fires. I also wish there was an option to start next round automatically but only when I don't have a free move.

Great concept. Infuriating controls. The player needs to be able to trust that whatever weapon is highlighted is what's going to be used to attack with. I can't count how many times I've HEALED an enemy because the dagger was highlighted and yet my heal scroll gets used instead.
