Yostar Limited.About this app
Azur Lane solves the problem of monotony in naval warfare games by offering an engaging and immersive experience, making it ideal for fans of action-packed games. It benefits gamers who enjoy strategic gameplay and anime-style graphics. Compared to alternatives in the Game Action category, Azur Lane stands out with its unique blend of ship-to-ship combat and RPG elements. However, it falls short in terms of permissions, as it requires none, which may raise questions about data collection and security.
Pros
- With over 5 million downloads and a 4.1-star rating, Azur Lane has demonstrated its quality and popularity among gamers, providing social proof of its engaging gameplay.
- The game's developer, Yostar Limited, has a reputation for regular updates and responsive customer support, ensuring that the game stays fresh and issues are addressed promptly.
- Azur Lane's free-to-play model with in-app purchases allows gamers to play without upfront costs, and the absence of ads enhances the overall gaming experience.
- The game's offline capability and accessibility features make it an excellent choice for gamers who want to play on-the-go or with limited internet connectivity.
Cons
- The lack of permissions requested by Azur Lane may raise concerns about data collection and security, as it is unclear what data the app may be collecting or transmitting without explicit user consent.
- The in-app purchase model, with prices ranging from $0.99 to $79.99 per item, may be aggressive and lead to unexpected expenses for some gamers, particularly those who are not aware of the costs.
- Some users may experience performance issues or compatibility problems on lower-end devices, which could impact the overall gaming experience.
Best for: The ideal user for Azur Lane is a teenager or young adult who enjoys action-packed games, strategic gameplay, and anime-style graphics, and is looking for a free-to-play game with a strong focus on community and social interaction.

This game has kept me interested for at least a year. Now it's more just about collecting all of the ships than it is progression, still enjoyable and some new things I've yet to explore. Would like a subscription though, rather than having to manually purchase the monthly pass. Update: Most the crashing issues have been fixed and it doesn't drop connection as much when switching between mesh network connections.
Updated review after several years playing. The game has evolved a lot. Good gameplay and great in depth story and aesthetics. Currently bummed that they are releasing enemies higher level than the 125 level cap though, that's bunk. Raise the level cap or don't make stronger enemies, what the heck are we supposed to do playing?
Listen. I've played for years, and have spent an ungodly amount on this. By far, the best gooner game. And an interesting enough game loop to keep you engaged. BIGGEST ISSUE: Quality of life. Why, why do I have to grind combat. Please, please, please, add auto-resolve and auto-clear. If my fleets can win without question. I should not, in any scenario, need to grind each combat scenario of an event. Or a refreshed Operation Siren.
Very fantastic gacha game. It's gameplay may be simple but it has a diverse amount of waifus, and it's F2P friendly. The graphics are nice, the community is very great, and the developers are very nice and generous. Thank you for this wonderful game.
Simple gameplay has devolved into an endless cycle of clicking 'Auto' and waiting. Whether it's the main campaign or the monthly Operation Siren grind, you're not truly playing a game; you're just watching a progress bar. There is no strategic depth left, only the same monotonous maps and options year after year Too much bloat, not enough gameplay Rather than improving naval combat, the developers wasting resources on "pointless fluff" such as the Island Planner and Project Identity.
