Easy to navigate research resource. Files don't take long to open. Allows users to save documents to their own online library or download. The only reason it's rated 4 stars is that it does not always have recent research available. Some studies on here are unable to be used for papers as they are too old (5-10 yrs).

I downloaded the Academia app on my Android smartphone, but it seems that this app is not compatible with TalkBack because the screen reader does not read the documents here and the result is always “unlabeled” whenever I read the documents. For those of us who use this app, since we are visually impaired, I wish this app would work properly for TalkBack, and we would be able to access the entirety of this app just like non-visually impaired users who can use the app properly.

Although I installed Academia a long time ago, I have been most frustrated as an independent history researcher to seemingly not be able to gain access to any of the open-source "23 million" papers. Because of the latter, I've only given one star, although should a workaround solution that works for me, be suggested and found to be operational, I'm sure that more stars would then be awarded!
