CrossMath - Number Puzzle Game v1.9.2
Aged Studio LimitedAbout this app
CrossMath - Number Puzzle Game effectively solves the problem of providing a challenging and engaging puzzle experience for users, benefiting those who enjoy brain teasers and math-based games. Compared to alternatives in the Game Puzzle category, CrossMath stands out with its excellent user rating of 4.8/5 and moderate download numbers, indicating a well-received and popular app. However, it falls short in terms of unique features, as the puzzle genre is highly saturated. The app's strength lies in its ability to fully exercise the brain, as claimed, making it a great option for those seeking mental stimulation.
Pros
- With over 100,000 downloads and an excellent user rating of 4.8/5, CrossMath demonstrates strong social proof and a high level of user satisfaction, indicating a well-designed and enjoyable game.
- The app's developer, Aged Studio Limited, has a professional website and provides a support email, showing a commitment to user support and feedback, which is beneficial for users who may encounter issues or have suggestions.
- CrossMath requires no permissions, making it a secure choice for users concerned about data privacy and security, as it does not collect any sensitive information.
- The app's offline capability and lack of required permissions make it accessible and performant, even on devices with limited internet connectivity or storage space.
- The in-app purchases are reasonably priced at $3.99 per item, offering users the option to enhance their experience without feeling pressured by aggressive monetization tactics.
Cons
- Although the app has a moderate number of downloads, the lack of unique features might make it less appealing to users who have already experienced similar puzzle games, potentially limiting its long-term engagement.
- The presence of ads might be a nuisance for some users, especially if they are frequent or intrusive, which could negatively impact the overall gaming experience.
- There is a potential concern regarding the collection of anonymous usage data, which, although not explicitly stated, is a common practice among free apps with ads, and users should be aware of this possibility.
- The app's compatibility with Android versions starting from 6.0 might not be ideal for users with older devices, limiting its accessibility to a broader range of users.
Best for: The ideal user for CrossMath is an individual who enjoys challenging puzzle games, is looking for a mentally stimulating experience, and values a clean, ad-supported or in-app purchase-based monetization model, likely falling within the age range of 18 to 55 with a medium to high level of technical skill, seeking entertainment and cognitive exercise.

CrossMath - Number Puzzle Game users say on Google Play
I am a 75-year-old with dementia; but also learning that playing Sudoku, Mahjong, Solitaire, Word Games, and now this CrossMath game is helping my brain (of this high-school valedictorian) to hopefully slow down and reverse the dementia. Good news (not Alzheimer's) but bad news (age-related dementia that, unfortunately, has me forgetting words, losing time, and forgetting faces). Doing these math puzzles shows me just how much math I've lost, but also proving that practice makes perfect!!!
I find this app very entertaining as it tests my maths skills and it makes my brain have to work a bit harder at times.
I get ads for support, and it's clear from the game description that they will be there. The real problem is the ad developers. When one of the ads took me to a website without being clicked, I decided to uninstall. $3.99 per month is too high to me even with something fun and challenging. So, ads that have even the POTENTIAL to take me to sites that may be unsafe (contain spyware or other dangerous elements) are enough to make me quit until I'm willing to pay for ad-free play.
Great game to pass the time and keep your mind sharp at the time. I gave 2 ⭐ because I paid $3.99 for no ADs and still getting ads.
Too little play, too many ads. Play for a minute or so (depending on how fast you finish the game) then watch several long ads, sometimes repetitively. Could be a good mental exercise, but fails. To Dev: you can sell high to a few or sell low to many, quality and appeal are critical.
