Crack the code in four different puzzles every day!

Astraware CodeWords is an addictive word game with a difference! You start with a crosswords style grid but instead of words, each codeword letter has been substituted with a number from 1 to 26. It is up to you to figure out which number stands for each letter in the cipher!

There are no clues but 3 letters are already in place to help you get started and each letter of the alphabet is used at least once. You start by guessing possible words and matching numbers with letters, until you've fully cracked the code - and your vocabulary and logical reasoning will be stretched along the way!

Did you know that the letter 'e' is the most commonly used letter in English? Did you know that 'th' is the most common pair of letters to be seen together? You'll use this knowledge and more as you make your guesses and work out the words!

Astraware CodeWords gives you access to play our free Daily puzzles - top the global leaderboard by completing the puzzle in the fastest time! For an extra challenge there is a Weekender puzzle available each Friday with a trickier grid and more unusual words.

A Google user

Truly excellent, and VERY addictive game!! This is the best word game I've found in a long time. It's fun and challenging, but not impossible. The only issue I have is the building up of coins to play non-daily puzzles... I would Love to just play the game, and not have to watch 10 videos. I just don't have enough time to do both. Otherwise, this game is GREAT, and I highly recommend!!

It's pretty nice. Not everyone playing this has young eyes. Need bolder letters on the keyboard. Also the puzzle grid is hard to read. Higher contrast and a more readable letter font would be a huge improvement. Reduce the margins and it could be larger. For some reason I couldn't enter my name with Swiftkey keyboard, so I had to switch to Samsung keyboard. Finally, I like how casual players can earn credits to play, and avid players can pay a reasonably priced subscription. Overall, I recommend it, if you have good enough eyesight.

Seems like a pretty decent app but the numbers are too small for my middle-aged eyes to see without strain - this interferes with my enjoyment of the game so I tend to open the app, take one look at the grid with the tiny numbers and close it again because I don't want to have to work that hard to play. There seems to be a decent amount of space in the margins that could be used to make the grid big enough for the numbers to be more easily readable. I'm kinda surprised this hasn't been done yet.

Can't do in landscape orientation. Won't show wrong letters. Other app jumps to next blank letter in a word. Uninstalled.

Despite great gameplay, controls and graphics, I am giving this game one star. You cannot play if you don't have stamps. There are some free puzzles available, but daily puzzles need stamps. And in that context, this is a pay to play game.
