Cirrus Healthcare ProductsAbout this app
EarPlanes+ solves the problem of reminding users when to wear EarPlanes earplugs, which is particularly beneficial for individuals who frequently fly or experience ear discomfort due to air pressure changes. This app stands out in the Health And Fitness category due to its simplicity and specific use case, but it may fall short in terms of broader health and wellness features compared to more comprehensive apps. The app's good user rating and lack of ads or in-app purchases suggest a positive user experience. Overall, EarPlanes+ is a niche app that effectively serves its target audience.

- The lack of updates and version history may raise concerns about the app's long-term support and maintenance, potentially impacting its performance and compatibility with future Android versions.
- Some users may find the app's sole reliance on notifications to be insufficient, particularly if they have multiple health-related reminders or prefer a more integrated approach to managing their wellness.
- The app's compatibility with various Android devices and versions may be a concern, as the minimum requirement of Android 5.0 may exclude some older devices.

Excellent tool for those with poor eustachian tubes. I often have issues equalizing my ears, particularly on descents. The app makes it very apparent when I need to put in my earplugs. I hadn't even realized my phone had sensors for barometric pressure!
I love this app. Since using it my ears haven't hurt and I don't have to keep the earplanes in the entire flight. My only critiques are: 1) I do wish it vibrated to tell me to take them out/put them in. The app does notify me on my lock screen but if I'm not looking at my phone I won't see it. I'd love to be able to keep it in my pocket and be told via vibration (maybe an app-specific one that's not the same as a normal vibration so you know it's the app) 2) Directions on how to insert them
The idea of this app is awesome. It appears to work for some and not all, and I'm unfortunately I'm part of the group that it doesn't work. I gave all necessary permission. The app runs in the background and the barometer service runs. However, the air pressure does not change at take off, in flight, or landing. I read how the app works and that it's supposed to have permissions to the phones location service. however, I was never prompted for that, nor is there a way to manually add it.
Doesn't work. Hit "start flight" and it saod 0 the entire flight. I have locate on and permission for notifications, and says is compatible with my device. Junk
