The COG-TRU Outages mobile application is designed to provide City of Gastonia and Two Rivers Utilities customers with a convenient method of reporting problems as well as keep them informed of the status of their services.

Customers can use the app to report outages for Electric, Water and Sewer Utility service.

The app also includes a map that shows the location of Electric service interruptions.

Users will receive push notifications with updates on interruptions that affect their service, estimated restoration times and more.

Electric Outage Map hasn't been working. When you go to the map, you get an error message that says "This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the Javascript console for technical details." "OOPS! SOMETHING WENT WRONG." I've tried every recommended fix related to this and nothing works. I see another reviewer having the same issue. FIX IT PLEASE! I use this every time there is an outage.

The latest update broke the outage map. During a recent blackout affecting 3,244 customers, the app showed outage icons but no power line info—no start or stop points. I checked both my phone and a family member’s with the latest update—same issue. In emergencies, we rely on clear, accurate data. This was confusing and unhelpful when it mattered most. Gaston, you can and must do better. Fix this before the next outage leaves people in the dark again—literally.
