EMRA MobilEM vVARY
Emergency Medicine Residents' AssociationAbout this app
The EMRA MobilEM app provides fast, evidence-based guidance for medical professionals, particularly emergency medicine residents, by offering a mobile platform for accessing critical information. This app benefits medical students and professionals who require quick access to reliable medical information, and it stands out from alternatives in the Medical category due to its focus on emergency medicine. However, its mixed user rating and limited download data suggest that it may have some shortcomings, such as incomplete feature sets or difficulties with navigation. Compared to other medical apps, EMRA MobilEM's lack of permissions requests is a notable advantage, indicating a potentially lower risk of data breaches.
Pros
- The app's evidence-based guidance is a significant advantage, as it provides users with reliable information to inform their medical decisions.
- EMRA MobilEM's developer, the Emergency Medicine Residents' Association, is a reputable organization, which lends credibility to the app's content and purpose.
- The app's offline capability is likely to be beneficial for users in areas with limited internet connectivity, allowing them to access critical information even without a stable connection.
- The absence of ads in the app is a significant pro, as it reduces distractions and improves the overall user experience.
- The app's in-app purchases offer users the option to access additional content or features, which may be beneficial for users with specific needs or interests.
Cons
- The app's mixed user rating and limited download data suggest that it may have some shortcomings, such as incomplete feature sets or difficulties with navigation.
- Some users may be deterred by the app's in-app purchases, which range from $1.99 to $39.99 per item, potentially making it less accessible to users with limited budgets.
- The app's limited download data and mixed user rating may indicate that it has not yet gained widespread acceptance or recognition within the medical community.
- The lack of information about the app's update frequency and device compatibility may be a concern for users who require a stable and consistently updated app.
Best for: The ideal user for EMRA MobilEM is a medical student or professional, particularly those in emergency medicine, who requires quick access to reliable medical information and is comfortable with using mobile technology to inform their medical decisions and practices.

EMRA MobilEM users say on Google Play
Very useful but out of nowhere lost access to the all-access pass subscription and can't restore. Edit: Found a solution. Cancel your subscription in the Play Store. Then go into the app and re-subscribe to the All Access Pass. You won't be charged again (you still get credit for the previous subscription), but it will restore your access.
Update 19Nov 2020 Reference cards seem to be working again Several of the quick reference cards will not load properly on the phone, attempted uninstalling and reinstalling the app, did not fix issue
Since the last update, I haven't been able to use this app. It keeps telling my that my subscription is expired even though it acknowledges my subscription. I keep getting an error message that "you already have a subscription" yet can't use it
If anyone is still having the subscription issue where you pay and it says you paid but you can't log in: Go to Google play, click cancel your subscription, then go back to the app and click subscribe again. It won't charge you, and you should be able to get in. Two weeks of emailing emra and I had to figure this out on my own.
Really enjoyed using this on shift, but out of the blue, I've lost access to all of the guides, in spite of having an active subscription. No amount of un-installing and re-installing is working.
