About this app

The Experian app solves the problem of individuals needing to monitor and manage their credit scores, providing a user-friendly platform for tracking financial health. This app benefits individuals who are concerned about their creditworthiness and want to make informed financial decisions. Compared to alternatives in the Finance category, Experian stands out due to its reputable brand and extensive features, but may fall short in terms of offering a more comprehensive financial management tool. Its high user rating and large download base attest to its effectiveness and popularity.

Pros

  • With over 10 million downloads and an excellent user rating of 4.7/5, the Experian app has demonstrated its reliability and usefulness in helping users manage their credit scores and financial health.
  • The app's developer, Experian, is a well-established and trusted brand in the financial industry, which lends credibility to the app's functionality and security.
  • The Experian app does not contain ads, which enhances the user experience and reduces distractions, allowing users to focus on their financial management.
  • The app requires Android 7.0 or later, ensuring that it is compatible with a wide range of devices and can be used by a large user base.
  • The app's simple and intuitive interface makes it accessible to users of various technical skill levels, allowing anyone to easily monitor and manage their credit scores.

Cons

  • One concern is that the app may not offer as comprehensive a set of financial management tools as some of its competitors, potentially limiting its usefulness for users who require more advanced features.
  • Although the app has a high user rating, some users may experience issues with the app's performance or accuracy, which could be frustrating and impact their financial decision-making.
  • The app's lack of in-app purchases and ads may lead some users to wonder how the developer plans to generate revenue, potentially raising concerns about data privacy and security.
  • The app's compatibility with certain devices may be limited, which could be a concern for users with older or lower-spec devices.

Best for: The ideal user for the Experian app is an individual aged 25-50 who is concerned about their creditworthiness and wants to make informed financial decisions, has a moderate level of technical skill, and is looking for a user-friendly platform to track and manage their credit scores and financial health.

A Big Plus is the review process detailing what & how reporting impacts your credit. Pretty good free version. I would upgrade to the full version if it was a one time annual fee of $25. What score you see isn't the same as lenders so don't be shocked when they tell you your score is lower. Also they don't really work with you if you say a creditor reported something inaccurately they go with whatever the creditors say who just automatically respond that they are accurate even if they aren't.

The only issue i have with Experian, is a dispute I have with a creditor reporting false information about a debt that was settled for a lesser amount. I sent proof of the settlement agreement in writing, and they refuse to acknowledge or apply thebaccumetro 2 coding.

The app never works. When opened it says "no network available". Been doing this for months, and quit spamming my email saying my score improved when NOTHING changed! Edit: still spamming my email. Quit!
