I still think that Flickr is the premier photo sharing platform online. It has some quirks and some of the site, layout, groups etc can feel a bit dated, but where else can you view high/full resolution photos and a high calibre of work. I also find I get much more engagement than Instagram where people are just obsessed with follow/I follow and reels. I just hope that Flickr continues to innovate and streamline the site.

UPDATE, a positive & supportive response from Flickr, up to 4 stars while I monitor. 👍 Former text as follows "Ok, it seems Flickr is determined to be even less user friendly on my desktop. The 'aggressive' banner to encourage you to go Pro doesn't even give me the chance to login! My uploading and editing etc is done using the desktop and NOT smart devices because the keyboard etc is easier and clearer to use. If this continues much longer I'll be seriously reviewing my future commitment."

Although I have been on Flickr for almost 20 years, I used to do most work on my PC. Now I use my phone a lot, and...meh 1. does not upload consistently from phone, takes multiple tries, and no error message. I end up uploading from my laptop a lot 2. no support available through phone app 3. photo quality seriously degraded when uploaded from phone 4. doing tasks like add to groups, etc, is not easy, you need to fish around a lot to figure it out

Very limited functionality. I don't even talk about complicated stuff like Organizer. The app lacks pretty basic features like galleries - adding photos to them or just browsing galleries. It's such a barebones app that I don't see any use for it. All I need from Flickr requires using web version, period.

Update: The app is still terrible. Despite super-fast connection, pictures in camera roll or search function are loading super-slowly or are not shown at all. I am about to cancel my subscription. Unlimited storage is useless if you cannot even access your own pictures. (And you cannot even store RAW.) ... One year later and nothing has changed. Even simple things like displaying public images in the "public view" don't work properly. Glad, I cancelled my subscription.
