Grayjay pairs well with YouTube premium. I like all the tech videos creators post on YouTube but the official app started spamming auto playing Shorts vertical videos even with auto play disabled in the settings so I don't want to open the YouTube app any more. In contrast, Grayjay provides a nice simple view of the channels I subscribe to and can scroll through the list at warp speed.

This app is everything YouTube used to be and when it works is better than anything else I watch but it seems like every month it breaks causing it to be unviewable. I know it's because Google is a monopolistic monster and they're playing cat and mouse but I'd rather consume no YouTube than non grayjay YouTube.

Very hit and miss app. When it works it's great, but lately YouTube has been sending updates to screw up the app, and the people who run this have not been keeping up at all.

I love FUTO, I love the app and the idea. However, when it comes to YouTube, it works poorly. The videos often crash or give errors, especially the longer ones, which take a long time to load. I reinstalled the app and downloaded it from the FUTO website, but it still doesn't work well. I've switched to watching YouTube and other content through the Brave browser, and at least that works every time.
