The most recent update of the app, in mid April 2025, is the most reliable and stable version so far. It's fast, smooth and lets me zoom in on an article easily by spreading two fingers apart, then close it by tapping the page lightly twice. It was a long time coming but it's perfect now!!!

I like the convenience of getting D&C news from the app. But lately, the app requires login when selecting articles from notifications or email. Perhaps this functionality was broken in a recent update🤷🏾‍♀️ When I select some articles from the app, it switches to the browser. Again, a (re)login is required. I've also noticed that there are fewer articles in the app than are in the paper. I saw an article in the paper I wanted to share in social media, but couldn't find it via the app.😕

The volume of ads is absolutely huge, especially for something I'm paying a subscription for. Even so, this would be four stars if I didn't have to keep signing in almost every time I open the app. This is basic stuff!

What could be worse than an app that continually signs a subscriber off, lets them know of the fact when they're trying to read an article, and buries the sign-in page two levels down in settings? Having the sign-in process fail spectacularly with server error gibberish. And then not letting the subscriber read the content. Too bad. The contents pretty good. But, once again, bad IT rules the roost.
