Nice local news app. Two critiques: 1. It would be great if web links to Times Union would open in the app by default like other major newspaper apps, since the web authentication expires frequently and this is not a password I keep at the top of my mind. 2. Sometimes it seems like the ad CDNs hold up the article content from loading. On my work wifi network most articles won't load because there is network-level blocking of many advertising CDNs.

I was required to rate it before it was installed and available for use. That's a negative. Can't rate the app yet. And, that comment still applies to the new app. I guess no one from the TU reads these comments. I wonder why.

The app is so buggy, crashes often, and when it is working it is making you log in every 30 seconds. Don't bother doing the crosswords because the keyboard covers half the screen and you can't move the view at all. I don't recommend this app, with or without a paid subscription. I give customer service 5 Stars, and the app itself 1 Stars until I can actually use it to read the news with...
