Developer Description

Glympse Express is a simple way to share your location to a contact or app.

Ever wished that you could add the temporary location feature from Glympse to WhatsApp, Google Hangouts, or Facebook Messenger? Well now you can! Glympse Express enables you to quickly share a temporary link so others can see your location on a live map.

Open Glympse Express and simply select the app in which you wish to share location. Glympse Express creates a link to your live map and opens the app you selected so you can paste it into the appropriate conversation. Share via WhatsApp, Google Hangouts, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Line, Tango and more.

Prefer to send via SMS or email message? Glympse Express has you covered there as well. Select a contact from your address book and Glympse Express creates a shortcut enabling you to send to that contact in the future with just a single tap.

Recipients receive a link allowing them to view your location in real-time for the length of time you choose. When the timer on your Glympse expires, your location is no longer visible. Best of all, recipients do not need the Glympse app or any special software to view your live map.

The one thing I hate most is receiving that text "where are you @?" while I'm driving. Ugh, irritating to the 🔝 of the highest mountain ⛰! With this, I can share my location real time without anyone having to install anything or not being compatible with a device. I love this because I can use this with people who I trust and randoms off Craigslist! The viewer information is awesome as well.

This would be just perfect if it supported sharing to a Telegram contact. For most situations the UI would be all I need but I have to stick using the cumbersome full Glympse app as it supports Telegram which most of my friends use.

Love this app for what it does, but would absolutely love the ability to request a Glympse from someone else, also fix it so "expiring" a Glympse is fast and easy, I hate the dial implementation when I'm driving, and just in general. As a side note, you really ought to start targeting Android P API as Glympse is coming up on being 4 years old - written and implemented for Android Gingerbread!

Links not working. When you share your location, it just brings you to the website instead of sending you to the map of your location in real time. Update and fix for more stars. Used this for years and this hasn't happened. Update: Dec 2020- I think the devs have given up on this app seeing as it hasn't been updated since January 2019. Sent a Glympse to myself for 12 hours n checked it- shows where I was 3 hours ago. Fail.

Doea not send SMS msgs anymore. I triend on two different phones (both Samsung). Makesnit useless. I checked permissions and they are all enabled.
