Clash of Decks v1.0
Grammes ÉditionAbout this app
Clash of Decks is a strategic card battle game that aims to provide an engaging experience for fans of the genre, but its below-average user rating of 2.8/5 suggests significant issues that may deter potential players. The game's lack of permissions requests is a positive aspect, indicating a potentially more private experience, but the limited download numbers and low rating raise concerns about its overall quality and competitiveness within the Game Card category. Compared to alternatives, Clash of Decks' unique selling point is unclear, and it may struggle to stand out in a crowded market. The developer, Grammes Édition, has a dedicated website and contact email, which is a good sign for potential support and updates.
Pros
- The game has a simple and straightforward monetization model with in-app purchases ranging from $0.99 to $94.99, which is relatively standard for the genre and allows players to choose their level of investment.
- The absence of ads is a significant advantage, providing a more immersive and uninterrupted gaming experience for players.
- The developer's presence online, including a website and email contact, suggests a level of commitment to the game and its community, which could lead to better support and updates.
- The game's small size and lack of permissions requests make it a relatively lightweight and private option for players concerned about data collection and storage space.
- The game's strategic card battle mechanics could appeal to fans of tactical gameplay and deck-building, offering a potentially engaging experience for enthusiasts of the genre.
Cons
- The below-average user rating and limited download numbers are significant concerns, indicating potential issues with the game's quality, stability, or overall player satisfaction.
- The lack of transparency about the game's data collection practices, despite not requesting permissions, could still raise privacy concerns for some players, especially given the presence of in-app purchases.
- The game's competitiveness within the Game Card category is uncertain, and it may struggle to offer something unique or compelling compared to more established titles.
- The relatively high price of some in-app purchases, up to $94.99, may deter players who are not deeply invested in the game or its community.
Best for: The ideal user for Clash of Decks is likely a strategic gamer aged 18-40 with a medium to high level of technical skill, who enjoys card games, tactical battles, and is looking for a potentially immersive experience with depth, and is willing to overlook some of the game's current shortcomings in hopes of future improvements and community growth.

Privacy
Given the game's lack of permissions requests, players can be somewhat assured of a private experience, but it's still crucial to monitor in-app purchase habits, especially for younger players, to avoid unintended spending. Additionally, players should be cautious of any future updates that might introduce new permissions or data collection practices. Regularly reviewing the game's terms of service and privacy policy can help mitigate potential risks.

Great game! Love to see a physical card game come alive as a digital version. After some initial bugs and balancing issues, I got into the stage of the game where it makes a lot of fun to compete and build custom decks. Would recommend!
I would say that the game needs improvement to attract more players. Card drafting without any knowledge of the game in the beginning can really hurt a player chance of sticking with this game. The game was fun after working out how to play, it would help more to have a better tutorial to understand the game before drafting the card. I still don't know what the blue bar is underneath each card and what they do still? look forward to future update.
The implementation of the game itself is great. It runs smoothly. However, the problem is the matchmaking. It takes far too long only to result in very poorly balanced players, and sometimes crashes while searching. In addition, right before any game starts, the screen goes black and I have to turn it on and off again. Possibly having a lot more players will fix the main issues of what can be a fun quick game.
Encounter some bugs even before playing the actual game. Stuck with the forging of the deck because the add button is bugged and doesn't do anything, please fix the bug i really wanna play the game. Thank you!
Limiting the number of players by limiting the number of times they can play without paying is dumb. Especially in a game requiring others to play against. You are forgetting that there are a million other games to play! Im going to play Hero Realms solo...
