Isle of Arrows is a fusion of board game and tower defense, in which you place randomly drawn tiles to build defenses on an ever-growing piece of land.
* Tile-Placement meets Tower Defense: Isle of Arrows is a unique blend of genres that adds a new strategic puzzle element to the Tower Defense formula.
* Roguelike structure: Each run is randomly generated with different tiles, enemies, rewards and events. Playing through campaigns unlocks more elements to appear in the game.
* Modes & modifiers: A variety of game modes, guilds, game modifiers, and challenges make each playthrough unique.
Gameplay
Each round, you get to place a tile on the isle for free. Spending coins allows you to skip to the next tile immediately. When you're ready, call the next enemy wave and watch your placed defenses in action.
There are 50+ tiles in Isle of Arrows:
Towers attack the invaders. Roads extend the path the enemies walk on. Flags grow the isle, giving you more space to build. Gardens reward you with coins. Taverns boost all adjacent archery towers. And so on.

I love this game and enjoy it everyday. It is challenging but so satisfying to win a level. I sometimes find it frustrating that the second and third paths appear, as they often bring on my demise, but the more I play, the more I learn what works best. I do wish there was a sandbox or endless mode as I'd like to chill with the little towns I'm creating. I've not made it in the leaderboard yet for the daily challenge but I enjoy trying as done days are easier than others. Lovely graphics too.
really enjoy the game!!! however I find the 'cannot block path' functionality floored. One can use dynamite to demolish things in the way of the path. or even surround the end (with one space gap) so the path is effectively blocked but unable to place another path tile. Perhaps a warning 'be careful the path will be blocked are you sure you want to place the tile here?' would be better. as I have found on several occasions a strategy would work better if I could even temporarily block the path!
IN DESPERATE NEED OF A PATCH: (1) Undo button if you accidentally place a tower in the wrong spot. (2) Mode changes for one crystal defense. (3) Infinite or Sandbox mode. Looking at the comments, I think if they listen to the fans to make a few small changes, this will go from an okay game to an excellent game.
The game is difficult. I love difficult games but when it is 60% strategy and 40% luck it gets annoying quickly. Very addicting in the beginning but once you have an idea of what you're doing it becomes restart, restart, restart because you just can't get what you need. The game absolutely needs a rework, I hope they figure out the balance.
Could be great. There is unfortunately zero strategy and 100% RNG. It ends up being a frustrating waste of time. Rogue like elements would increase the value of the game, anything I have unlocked has never been seen in a dozen playthroughs. Perhaps a draw two then pick one, discard one would be better. Allowing for planning and placement of the second and third routes would be enjoyable instead of the existing random placement. This game has serious potential. Absolutely do not buy as it is.
