Our U.S.-based Safe Ride Support team monitors every HopSkipDrive ride in real-time, giving parents and caregivers greater peace of mind by proactively preventing any issues.

This is in addition to many other safety mechanisms, including a patent-pending multifactor authentication process on pickup, GPS tracking, full real-time transparency for parents/caregivers, and more.

If your school or another organization is booking transportation for your child, you can see what upcoming rides are booked through your HopSkipDrive app.

For families directly booking rides for kids, you can add single rides, repeating rides, or multi-stop rides directly in the app. You can also leave location-specific notes about pickup, like if your child needs to be signed out of school or walked into their karate class.

You’ll get information about your child’s CareDriver in advance: a photo, bio and vehicle details. This helps you know exactly who is giving your child a ride and prepare your child for their upcoming ride.

TRACK YOUR CHILD’S RIDES IN REAL-TIME, DIRECTLY IN THE APP

Parents and caregivers love the ability to track their child’s ride in real-time directly in the HopSkipDrive app, whether you or your child’s school booked the ride! HopSkipDrive will also send you notifications for each stage of the ride, like when the CareDriver is on their way and when your child has been picked up and dropped off safely.

* FULL 15-POINT CAREDRIVER CERTIFICATION PROCESS

1. At least 5 years of caregiving experience
2. Criminal record check: Pass a comprehensive search of county, state, and national records, including the global watchlist and sex offender registries
3. Pass a fingerprint-based background check
4. Child Abuse and Neglect Scan: State-level clearance from the Department of Human Services database
5. Valid Drivers License
6. Minimum of 3 years of driving experience
7. Pass an initial motor vehicle history search as well as ongoing monitoring for new infractions
8. Age 23+
9. Own or lease a vehicle no more than 13 years old (In some states vehicle must be no more than 10 years old)
10. Proof of registration
11. Proof of insurance consistent with state law
12. Pass an annual 19-point vehicle inspection
13. Complete a live orientation with the HopSkipDrive team
14. Adopt the HopSkipDrive Community Guidelines
15. Adopt Zero Tolerance Policies for the use of drugs or alcohol while driving, nondiscrimination, no-touching, and no-cell phone usage
