Al-Albani specialized in the field of the Prophet’s hadith and its sciences, and he taught many students at his hands, and some of them became researchers of Islamic studies after that, and he has more than 300 authors between authoring, graduation, investigation and commentary. He was also arrested twice, one of them before 1967 for a month in the Citadel of Damascus, which is the same castle in which Ibn Taymiyyah was arrested, after which he moved from Damascus to Amman, Jordan, and resided there until his death.

Granting the King Faisal International Prize for Islamic Studies for the year 1419 AH corresponding to 1999 AD, and its subject is the scientific efforts concerned with the hadith of the Prophet, an investigation, graduation and study of Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani, in appreciation of his valuable efforts in serving the hadith of the Prophet, graduation, investigation and study, in his more than 100 books. Some see him as one of the renewal of Islam in his time.
